The Southern Bon Vivant is the art and pleasure of food, dining and entertaining from a southern-creole perspective.  This savory blog was mastermind by Houston chef, Gary B. Wilkins.

Chef Gary B. Wilkins studied the culinary arts through the American Chef Federation and he has held positions as executive chef, assistant director of food services and consultant  in several food service institutions in his native city of Houston,Texas. 

Never straying away from his passion of food and fine cooking, Gary is the editor and publisher of Bread & Butter Magazine, a quarterly food journal that presents recipes and discussions of the aspects of the fine cooking, food science and entertaining.
